Tasmania Jan-Feb 2011

Robert and Patricia travelled to Tasmania to attend the wedding of Robert McInnes and Kel in Hobart. The wedding was on Sunday 23rd January 2011 and was held in the gardens of the Cascade Brewery. A beautiful setting and a beautiful day weather wise. The reception was at Blackmans Bay at a restaurant on the esplanade. The views were pretty spectacular. We spent 3 weeks in Tassie. We met Andrea and Kieran at Cradle Mountain and stayed at the Waldheim cabins which we just loved. Very rustic with an external bathroom but set in the National Park. The wildlife was fantastic with wombats everywhere, even one that lived under the cabin we were staying in. It must have been very warm there with the heater on in the cabin. A perfect home in such a cold environment. We stayed at Strahan and did the Wilderness cruise (again for us both but so good), then went on to Launceston and then the east coast, St Helens. Then back to brother David's in Hobart.
